2. Using our website
You may use our website for lawful purposes only. You must not breach any law, attempt unauthorised access, or introduce harmful material. We may suspend access without notice.
3. Restaurant reservations
3.1 How to book. Reservations can be made via our website, our AI booking assistant Hanna, by phone, or by email.
3.2 Holding your table. We hold tables for up to 15 minutes past your booked time.
3.3 Cancellations. Please cancel or amend at least 24 hours in advance.
3.4 Large parties and chef's counter. For parties of 6 or more and chef's counter bookings, we may hold a card as security. If you cancel within 24 hours or do not attend, we may charge a no-show fee of £25 per guest.
3.5 Special events and experiences. Some events (anniversary dinners, sake nights, yakitori experiences, omakase) require full pre-payment. These are non-refundable within 48 hours of the event but may be transferable — see our Refund Policy.
3.6 Corporate and private hire. Subject to separate agreement and deposit terms set out in your booking confirmation.
4. Workshops
Sushi workshops and classes require 24 hours' advance booking and full payment at the time of booking. See our Refund Policy for cancellation terms.
5. Online orders (collection)
5.1 What we sell. We sell selected items online for collection, including yakitori skewers (raw, for home grilling) and whole Yuzu Basque cheesecake.
5.2 Lead times. Yakitori skewers require 24 hours' notice and are subject to availability.
5.3 Collection only. Unless stated otherwise, online orders are for collection at 1 New Fetter Lane, London EC4A 1AN. We do not deliver perishable food.
5.4 Food safety. Our products are freshly prepared and perishable. Once collected, safe storage and cooking is your responsibility.
5.5 Allergens. Tell us before ordering if you have any allergies or intolerances. Our kitchen handles fish, shellfish, soy, wheat, sesame, eggs and nuts; we cannot guarantee any dish is trace-free.
6. Prices and payment
6.1 Prices. All prices are in GBP and include VAT where applicable. A discretionary service charge may be added in the restaurant.
6.2 Accepted cards. Visa, Mastercard, American Express.
6.3 Payment processor. Card payments are processed securely by Paymentsense Limited (trading as Dojo) and/or Wix Payments. We do not store full card details.
6.4 Pricing errors. If we discover an error before your order is confirmed, we will tell you and give you the choice to continue at the correct price or cancel.
7. Gift vouchers
Valid for 12 months from purchase. Not exchangeable for cash. Not replaceable if lost.
8. Intellectual property
All content on this website (text, photos, logos, menus, design) belongs to or is licensed to Hotori Ltd. You may not copy or reuse any content without written permission.
9. Reviews and user content
Content you submit to us or tag us in grants us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use it for marketing and operational purposes. Content must not be unlawful, defamatory or infringing.
10. Our liability
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or anything that cannot be limited under UK law (including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015).
Subject to the above, our total liability for any booking, order or event is limited to the amount you paid for it. We are not liable for unforeseeable loss or business losses.
11. Events outside our control
We are not liable for failure or delay caused by events outside our reasonable control (power cuts, supplier failures, staff illness, fire, flood, strikes, civil unrest, government restrictions, public health emergencies).

13. Changes
We may update these terms. The version in force is the one published at the time you book or order.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except that consumers resident in Scotland or Northern Ireland may also bring proceedings in their home courts.
